Our Registered Manager, Leah Hirst, brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and warmth to Elm Lea. She’s not only a qualified and highly trained care professional, but also a strong advocate for our person-centred approach. Leah is local to the area and lives just minutes away, meaning she is available to respond quickly and effectively to any concerns or needs that may arise.
Leah believes wholeheartedly that Elm Lea is a home for life. Residents are encouraged to remain with us for as long as they feel comfortable and supported – and we do everything we can to ensure that care continues unless or until needs change beyond our scope.

Elm Lea is a small residential care home with space for just 15 residents, creating a warm and welcoming community where everyone feels like family. Our high staff-to-resident ratio (1.07) allows us to offer an exceptional level of personal care, with time to build meaningful connections that enhance the wellbeing of every resident.
We believe that smaller really is better – especially when it comes to the quality of relationships, comfort, and individual attention.

At Elm Lea, we understand how important family is. That’s why we welcome visits 24/7, with the simple exception of meal times. We aim to keep loved ones involved and informed, and encourage regular interaction and participation wherever possible.
