A Familiar, Non-Clinical Environment
Elm Lea is not a purpose-built facility – it’s a converted family home, located in the peaceful countryside of Saltwood, near Hythe. This gives our care home a warm and familiar atmosphere, unlike the clinical or institutional feel of larger care homes. Many of our residents, particularly those with dementia or memory difficulties, find great comfort in this relaxed, non-intimidating environment.
Our home is small and personal, with just 15 residents at any one time. This enables us to provide truly individualised care, where every resident is known, valued and respected.
Tailored Dementia Care Plans
Dementia affects everyone differently, so we believe care should never be one-size-fits-all. At Elm Lea, we develop bespoke care plans for every resident, adapting them as needs evolve. Whether your loved one is experiencing early-stage memory difficulties or more advanced symptoms, our experienced team works closely with families and healthcare professionals to ensure the right support is always in place.
Our goal is to promote independence, provide emotional security, and create meaningful routines that enhance day-to-day life.
